E. coli is among the most prevalent microorganisms that contributes to pyometra, implicated in up to 90% of pyometra cases.

Sex itself can make vaginal discharges occur (fluid comes out of their vagina).

Clinical findings in pyometra cases can vary but they commonly include inappetence/anorexia, depression/lethargy, polydipsia, polyuria, tachycardia, and tachypnea.

This can lead to a nasty infection called pyometra, which can be fatal to the dog. What's worse, it does not always have visible symptoms (closed pyo) which can lead to rupture and sepsis without treatment. If you love her, don't risk her life on you getting off. Please spread the word on this, it needs to be common knowledge within this community.
